As a Medical Management and Occupational Health Program Manager at CPKC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's medical management and regulatory compliance programs are aligned with its overall business strategy. This position requires a strong understanding of medical management and occupational health principles, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the medical management and regulatory compliance team, including drug and alcohol screening compliance and medical availability.
- Negotiate with medical vendors and lead the company's medical management function.
- Develop and implement medical management strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Provide oversight for medical management programs, including case management of on-the-job injuries and fitness for duty determinations.
- Partner with Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and health promotion programs.
- Participate in developing business unit function goals, objectives, and systems.
- Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of business unit functions in relation to established goals.
- Recommend new approaches and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of services performed.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience in field railroad operations.
