Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and securing our cloud infrastructure, collaborating closely with product managers, scientists, and engineers to innovate and evolve our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement robust and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and other cloud platforms.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage observability tools and frameworks to monitor system health, performance, and identify potential issues.
- Mentor and guide Cloud Engineers, providing technical expertise, coaching, and support to drive excellence in cloud operations.
- Collaborate with product managers, scientists, and other engineers to synthesize requirements and author new engineering designs.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture, deployment, and operations.
- 5+ years development experience in one of the following: Go, Python, or a similar language.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with at least 5 years of expert-level AWS experience.
- Expert sysadmin skills in a Linux environment, including Bash.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling/frameworks — e.g., Terraform and CDK.
- Affinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
