Job Summary

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist at General Motors, you will be responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest quality standards. This includes executing the APQP process, reviewing supplier quality plans, and conducting on-site visits to verify compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute APQP process with suppliers to meet or exceed program work
  • Review and approve supplier quality plans, including control plans and PFMEA
  • Conduct on-site visits to verify supplier compliance with quality standards
  • Implement and monitor supplier part qualification and certification processes
  • Improve supplier quality performance through technical assistance and workshops
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quality, engineering, and/or manufacturing
  • Proficient in print reading, part measurement, gage design, and geometric design and tolerancing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 75% to supplier manufacturing sites
