Regulatory Advisor

About the Role

Deutsche Securities is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regulatory Advisor to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our Legal function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank's business operations and global financial services are compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and guidance to the Investment Bank's Broker-Dealer Operations in Mexico, including contract negotiation and execution with clients.
• Support Corporate Governance activities, including acting as deputy secretary of the Board of Directors and Committees.
• Act as a Legal single point of contact for Emerging Markets business with a nexus to Mexico & Latin America.
• Coordinate litigation matters related to the local legal entity, with the assistance of external counsels.
• Provide legal counseling to other business lines and officers in Mexico and around the world.
• Act as the first point of contact and initial legal advisor for infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Solid legal expertise in financial entities, with a background in the legal framework governing their operations.
• Experience in negotiating Master Agreements for Trading with financial derivative products.
• Experience in emerging markets businesses and products globally.
• Excellent collaboration skills across multiple jurisdictions and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
