Quality Assurance Engineer

This position will be responsible for leading Advanced Product Quality Planning Disposition Phase activities as defined in the Product Development Procedure. The successful candidate will be the owner of the following Product Development Procedure deliverables: measurement plans, measurement strategy delivery, disposition lead for tooling transfers to our manufacturing facilities. Significant support will be provided in qualification plans, PPAP package. The candidate may take direction from more senior department members for critical or extraordinarily large programs.
Our Team
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, customer quality engineers, product engineers, manufacturing engineers, AQP engineers, quality engineers, quality control specialists, sorters, product managers, account managers, and other key team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Involved in and drive the development of measurement strategies, metrology processes, etc. Will lead disposition activities and review of data measurements, defining the measurement strategy, and holding teams accountable for decision making of changing tool, product, or drawings.
- Performs statistical analysis for the qualification, control and continuous improvement of processes, products, and equipment. Ensure the metrology/statistical data is understood by the Product Development team so the data can be used to drive appropriate decisions/action, or seeks advice for more senior department members as needed.
- Uses interpersonal skills to reach consensus with team members when conflicts arise and work to maintain team cohesiveness through difficult team decisions. Solicits help if needed from other department resources to resolve issues.
- Accountable in providing our manufacturing team with data to support qualification of tooling. Has the authority to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the dimensional qualification process is maintained and improved.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree related to Engineering.
- 3+ years of strong experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with Volume Graphics Metrology software is a must.
- English intermediate advance speaking.
- PC skills. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and other Windows based software.
- Strong understanding of fundamental dimensional control principles datum coordination, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T, etc.).
- Metrology knowledge: Understand CT Scanning Capabilities and Limitations, understand all potential measurement methods of components.
