Job Description

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and automating solutions that improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop scalable cloud-based infrastructure solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  2. Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  3. Lead cloud initiatives and mentor engineers on automating building of application code using Build Pipeline in Azure DevOps.
  4. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software deployment and release management in collaboration with development and operations teams.
  5. Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  6. Collaborate with development teams to automate application deployments, testing, monitoring, and scaling.
  7. Continuously improve and optimize cloud infrastructure automation by identifying and implementing tools and techniques.
  8. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of automation frameworks and processes for cloud environments.
  9. Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and manage configuration management tools for software and infrastructure deployments.
  10. Develop and implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues in the cloud environment.
  11. Optimize cloud resources and costs by monitoring usage, implementing auto-scaling, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  12. Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies, automation tools, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  1. 7+ years of cloud and automation experience in Cloud and automation tools such as Azure DevOps.
  2. 4+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and Docker.
  3. 5+ years' experience working in automation and DevOps.
  4. 5+ years' experience with scripting languages for Azure (ARM, CLI, Powershell, Terraform, etc).
  5. 5+ years of architecture design, implementation, and support of highly distributed setups (ensure high availability and reliability).
  6. 3+ years of experience in migrating on-premises workloads to the public cloud.
  7. Strong understanding of cloud, automation, and infrastructure.
  8. Proven experience as a Cloud Automation Engineer or similar role, with a focus on infrastructure automation.
  9. In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  10. Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab etc) for automated software deployments.
  11. Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  12. Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and data privacy in cloud environments.
  13. Experience with configuration management tools for infrastructure management and automation.
  14. Proficiency in building and managing infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g. Datadog).
  15. Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor etc.
  16. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  17. Knowledge of serverless computing using AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
  18. Ability to connect on-premises technology to cloud offerings.
  19. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  20. Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively and follow through.
  21. Have excellent problem-solving skills utilizing both internal and external resources to get the job done. Work through issues and challenges.
  22. Ability to do technical design and documentation.
  23. Self-starter and motivator and ability to work in a team and solo.
