Producibility Scientist

Job Summary

The Producibility Scientist will support Seed Product Development and collaborate with Production Research (PR) to deliver genetic gain, meet customer needs, and minimize production costs. The role will involve working with the Mexico region SPRC team to provide quality seed parent characterization information for data-driven decision-making across all Mexico hybrid crops.

Key Responsibilities

• Support alignment and execution of regional PC experiments and protocols to the global SPRC model.
• Partner with region Seed Product Development to design and execute SPRC experiments with a producibility mindset.
• Establish collaboration between producibility information and product development customers to ensure product advancement decisions meet customer needs.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation by driving continuous improvement in processes, phenotyping, systems, and data management/analysis/information transfer.

Requirements

• Undergraduate in Agronomy.
• Minimum 5 years Seed Production experience – corn crop.
• Strong background and understanding of product development process.
• Knowledge and experience in working with and evaluation of crop traits in various crops.
• Strong background in statistics, experimental design, and analysis.
