Key Responsibilities

Utilize advanced mechanical design and manufacturing principles to drive informed decision-making and enhance safety, product quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing waste reduction strategies and eliminating variation in manufacturing processes. Lead root cause corrective actions to minimize non-conformances and optimize production flow. Develop and implement efficient, ergonomic, and safe workstations and tooling designs to boost productivity. Stay current with the latest manufacturing engineering technologies, techniques, and equipment, recommending innovative approaches where feasible. Collaborate in Kaizen events based on VSM Roadmaps and apply RBS tools to solve problems and drive continuous improvement. Promote and facilitate the use of continuous improvement tools and assist in developing and implementing lean manufacturing action plans to support business growth. Analyze and resolve work problems using problem-solving tools like DMAIC and assist others in doing the same. Develop and implement manufacturing cost-out projects and assist associates in resolving setup, tooling, and fixture problems. Develop, maintain, and implement process routings and setup instructions for part and assembly production. Possess the ability to write programs that machine complex parts to precise tolerances on multiple axes using various machining centers. Demonstrate expertise in Horizontal Machining Centers, 4-axis lathes, 5-axis lathes, and Vertical Machining Centers. Engage in "shop floor" problem-solving and participate in Kaizen events, including SMDE, VSM, and 5S initiatives. Maintain program libraries and track revision status according to NADCAP requirements. Provide hands-on knowledge of program storage and assist associates in uploading and downloading programs.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment. Industrial technical field experience with programming CNC equipment is required. At least one year of experience with grinding, turning, and milling machinery. Ability to extract critical data and analyze it to inform business decisions. Strong computer skills, including word processing, graphics, and spreadsheet software. Demonstrated proficiency in project management and team leadership. Experience with manufacturing bearings and Six Sigma certifications are a plus. Excellent computer skills, including CAD/CAM software, are a plus. Willingness to work in Chihuahua, Mexico.
