**Job Summary**

Marriott International, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Respond to and resolve client repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen and mechanical equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Inspect equipment and tools visually for damage or wear.
  • Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radios) as needed.
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and public service shut-offs for buildings.
  • Maintain required inventory levels and order parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other teams using approved standards and communication programs.
  • Have basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic controls, carpentry and finishing, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building.
  • Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor repairs to drywall and trim work, replacing light bulbs and air conditioner filters, and thorough and meticulous cleaning of painting or repair areas.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclog toilets and drains), electrical components, including lamps, cosmetics, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, Internet equipment, replace switches and outlets, and other client room items.
  • Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering.
  • Use the locking system before performing maintenance work.
  • Perform repairs to interior and exterior landscaping and exterior irrigation system sprinklers.
  • Have basic computer skills, including entering air treatment equipment schedules and making temperature changes.

**Requirements**

  • Follow all company policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, hazardous working conditions, accidents, and injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and store flammable materials according to safety guidelines.
  • Ensure a clean and complete uniform is worn at all times on the job site; maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times on the job site; respect confidentiality in the dissemination of information specific to the banner and/or hotel and protect all company property.
  • Welcoming and greeting all clients according to company standards; anticipating and addressing client service needs; assisting people with disabilities and thanking clients with genuine appreciation.
  • Respect quality standards and requirements.
  • Develop positive and constructive working relationships with colleagues; unite and assist each other to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the problems of other employees.
  • Use clear and courteous language in all communication.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds (22.7 kg) without assistance and objects weighing more with assistance.
  • Climb stairs, service ramps, and ladders.
  • Reach above head and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and kneeling.
  • Enter and find information related to work using computers.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
