About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires strong technical expertise in cloud computing, Linux operating systems, and software development. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in managing enterprise Unix/Linux solutions, preferably large scale inclusive of Physical, Virtual, Public and Private Cloud.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement enterprise-wide cloud and Linux solutions to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
- Maintain global collaboration with other IT operations teams, both internal and external
- Evaluate and recommend cloud and Linux technologies to meet business needs
- Develop and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability
- Collaborate with IT Operations Manager to continually improve operations through routine monitoring of system performance metrics, review of system log files, trend analysis, configuration, incident, and problem management processes
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 5 years of experience in managing enterprise Unix/Linux solutions, preferably large scale inclusive of Physical, Virtual, Public and Private Cloud
- Deep knowledge and experience supporting as well as troubleshooting RHEL 7, 8, and 9
- Strong scripting skills in at least one of the following (Ansible, Shell, Python, etc.)
- Experience in installing and patching Linux servers using RedHat Satellite
- Robust technical understanding of Linux OS provisioning, patching & end-to-end troubleshooting
- Knowledge of SOX security requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
