The Counsel 3 is a critical position within Citibank, responsible for providing expert legal counsel and support to our global operations. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our business activities are conducted in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

This role requires a deep understanding of financial services law, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will work closely with our business leaders to provide strategic advice and guidance on complex legal matters, and will be responsible for managing and mitigating legal risks across our global operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to our business leaders on complex legal matters
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks across our global operations
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support our business objectives
  • Collaborate with our internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Provide training and guidance to our employees on legal matters
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in financial services
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational and relationship management skills
  • Excellent command of local languages
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international, multi-jurisdictional laws and practices
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills and ability to maintain trusted relationships
  • Membership of local Bar/Lawyers Association
Education
  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree

Litigation Attorney with deep knowledge in civil, commercial and other areas related. Required at least 2 years managing electronic banking lawsuits, constitutional trials (amparo) and advisory related matters.
