About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at 899 FLEXTRONICS PLASTICS SA DE CV. As a key member of our production engineering team, you will be responsible for driving cost, quality, and delivery improvements in our manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process-engineering capabilities to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing process issues.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
  • Participate in daily production activities and provide effective problem-solving support.
  • Prepare justification and implement capital equipment for production.
  • Oversee new process equipment production and ensure compliance with engineering change orders.
  • Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters.
  • Develop and implement process control methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues and participate in cycle time and process improvements.
  • Evaluate and select engineered materials.
  • Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
  • Implement safety, productivity, and quality improvements.
  • Improve manufacturing techniques and throughput.
  • Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
  • Review processing methods and interface with production on new process implementation and transfer.
  • Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel.
  • Provide equipment maintenance and repair support.
  • Guide cost improvement and reduction programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Previous experience as a process engineer in the tool area (soft tool or hard tool).
  • Previous experience with hard tool processes.
  • Implementation of ECOs.
  • Analysis of tools and designs for quotation.
  • Support and validation of qualification runs for new tools.
  • Analysis and DFM capacity for parts manufactured in hard tool.
  • Knowledge of peripheral processes in a stamping area and tool room.
  • Definition of parameters for stamping equipment.
  • Tool analysis and fault debugging.
  • FAI analysis to achieve CPK qualification and studies.
  • Development of fixtures for validation at the machine.
  • Definition of packaging methods.
  • Definition of operating population for a stamping cell.
  • Analysis of CTFs and critical dimensions for assembly.
  • Implementation of floor control methods.
  • Previous experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area is a plus.
