Our Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams play a critical role in driving new product development projects and improving manufacturing processes.
Your Role
As a Mold Design Engineer at TE Connectivity, you will be responsible for designing, building, and procuring mold tooling that meets our quality and production standards. You will also assist in identifying and implementing new molding technologies and serve as a technical resource for consulting on complex internal/external mold processing, tooling, resin, quality, and capacity concerns.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Molding Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with specialized experience in molding processes.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working within the molding discipline or environment.
- Advanced English Level.
- Advanced knowledge of mold processing and tooling designs for thermoplastics, thermosets, and silicones.
- Ability to utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Moldflow software to support mold/tooling design reviews.
- Experience working in a low volume, high mix environment is preferred.
- GB or BB in Lean Design for Six Sigma preferred but not required.
- Proficient in MS Office Software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
