About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team at VASS Mexico. As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions that drive business outcomes and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Apply cloud infrastructure knowledge with respect to microservices architecture, design patterns, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
  • Contribute to our company's mission by leading the development and adoption of cloud-first solutions.
  • Monitor for vulnerabilities and troubleshoot performance issues by implementing alert strategies for production environments.
  • Provision AWS environments using infrastructure-as-code and partner with development teams to design a robust deployment and patching strategy.
  • Work closely with product leads, scrum master, business customers to define feature specifications and build the next generation of digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to provision environments, configure services, and perform capacity planning.
  • Participate in support rotation, respond to system health alerts, and triage issues alongside helpdesk, managed services, and cloud ops teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, integration.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred or willingness to take your non-AWS public cloud knowledge and upskill in AWS).
  • Skilled in provisioning resources using Infrastructure as a Code (IaC).
  • Hands-on experience in system level scripting using Bash and/or PowerShell.
  • Solid experience in handling CI/CD integrations with GitHub or equivalent (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps,...) and deploying infrastructure and applications on public cloud.
  • Understanding of modern DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipeline processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker containers.
  • Good Operating System level debugging skills.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
