Job Description
The Tool Crib Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Tool Crib area. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and delivering materials, spare parts, and tooling while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
This specialist will also generate manual and electronic purchase orders for spare parts and consumables, utilizing the Tool Crib area's inventory management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Count, weigh, and classify articles delivered by the Tool Crib to users.
- Ensure receipt of ordered materials and spare parts through bill matching with the receipt area.
- Receive and transport materials to the Tool Crib area for storage.
- Store and manage consumables, manufacturing aids, and spare parts using the Maximo system.
- Participate in programmed inventories by counting and updating the system.
- Maintain an updated inventory system by entering inputs and outputs of items managed by the Tool Crib.
- Notify buyers of minimum inventories or null existence of items to be delivered.
- Keep required documentation of parts and materials.
- Responsible for implementing the 5S principle: clean and clear working area, packaging material disposition, and related audits.
- Cycle counts and control for management items uploads into the Tool Crib.
- Develop continuous cost reduction programs.
- Knowledge of procurement processes.
- Knowledge of various reports regarding consumption by cost, part number, department, etc., for budget requirements and monthly finance closures.
- Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to direct supervisors.
- Maintain meetings as 1:1, departmental, and/or with different areas to support projects or address doubts regarding consumption.
- Perform trainings on time and shape: perform trainings on Summit and compliance Wire Systems, presential or shared by the company. Train Tool Crib customers to deliver items through WO-OTHER process on MAXIMO System.
- Participate in special programs inside J&J to collaborate and lead activities such as community events, ERG, VV100, etc.
- Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with the regulations of the company related to practices of Health, Safety, and Environment, assuring that all needed resources are available and in good conditions.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year (dependent on location and experience)
Qualifications and Requirements
- Vocational, Certificate, Technical, or Associate degree
- High School or equivalent/Technical Career
- Moderate knowledge of MAXIMO System (eCMMS) Inventory Module
- Knowledge of metal, mechanical, electric, and pneumatic parts
- Requires 2-4 years of work experience
- Inventory management
- Experience in cycle counts
- Basic knowledge of eMP
- Basic knowledge of Electricity, Mechanics, Electronics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics
- Focused on Customer Service
- Use of MS Office
- Use of MAXIMO System
