About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our development team at FICO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Software Development: Implement product changes, undertaking detailed design, programming, unit testing, and deployment, as required by our SDLC process.
  2. Defect Resolution: Investigate and resolve reported software defects across supported platforms.
  3. Collaboration: Work in conjunction with product management to understand business requirements and convert them into effective software designs that will enhance the current product offering.
  4. Component Development: Produce component specifications and prototypes as necessary.
  5. Project Estimation: Provide realistic and achievable project estimates for the creation and development of solutions.
  6. Software Testing: Develop and test software components of varying size and complexity.
  7. Test Planning: Design and execute unit, link, and integration test plans and document test results.
  8. Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality assurance team and assist with integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing, and implementation.
  9. Documentation: Produce relevant system documentation.
  10. Review and Validation: Participate in review sessions to ensure ongoing quality of deliverables.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Java software development experience within an industry setting.
  • Technical Skills: Detailed understanding of software and testing methods, strong foundation and grasp of design models and database structures, proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, and Kustomize.
  • Programming Languages: Detailed understanding of Java (Java 17 preferred), Microservices, Spring, Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle, MySQL, and Git.
  • Web Development: Experience in developing web services using REST and gRPC.
  • Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with Eclipse, IntelliJ, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and manage feature development independently.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate information clearly with architects, and discuss strategy/requirements with team members and the product manager.
  • Quality Focus: Quality-driven work ethic with meticulous attention to detail. Adheres to code quality standards and software engineering processes.
  • Teamwork: Able to function effectively in a geographically-diverse team.
