About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at FICO. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and expanding our cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement highly automated and holistic cloud solutions.
  • Oversee systems and resources for alerting, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
  • Work jointly with other software engineering teams to build fault-tolerant and resilient services that align with our cloud infrastructure best practices.
  • Improve the performance and durability of our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Ensure security is a top priority in all aspects of cloud engineering.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with a cloud provider (preferably AWS) and maintaining or deploying production applications infrastructure.
  • Significant experience with distributed systems and container orchestration (maintaining or building Kubernetes clusters).
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, and ArgoCD.
  • Strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IAC), preferably using Terraform or Crossplane composition.
  • Experience hosting/supporting the Atlassian suite of tools; specifically Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools, like Splunk.
