Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for Order Management Systems (OMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to develop and maintain APIs and middleware for seamless system data exchange.
- Track and document support requests and incidents using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
- Analyze incident trends to identify recurring issues and recommend proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Work closely with software developers to validate changes, conduct regression testing, and ensure new functionalities meet business requirements.
- Provide feedback on system improvements and collaborate on the development of new solutions to enhance retail operations.
- 5+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with retail commerce data infrastructure (e-commerce preferably composable commerce).
- Hands-on experience working with one or more global cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (Preferably AWS).
- Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and Software Engineering principles.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).
- Experience with event-driven systems, including queuing and AWS Lambda.
- Proficient in Java; experience with React is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and developing microservices-based applications.
- Experience working with retail data platforms (i.e. POS or OMS) and real-time data management using event streams is preferred.
- Experience working with headless/microservices architectures, including digital commerce technologies such as Fluent commerce, Adyen, Avalarra, commercetools and Elastic Path Commerce Cloud is an asset.
