The position is based in Los Cabos. We require a professional who can manage finances accurately and provide timely reports to stakeholders in accordance with GAAP.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate accounting and timely reporting to management, corporate offices, and owners
  • Analyse financial data to advise management on internal controls
  • Maximise profitability by providing financial recommendations to department heads
  • Verify licenses, permits, and insurance policies are up-to-date and compliant
  • Prepare cash flow statements and statement of changes in financial position
  • Carry out financial oversight of reserve expenditure process; ensure projects are carried out according to the critical path and financial projections
  • Reflect assets and liabilities on balance sheets of the resort
  • Manage relationships with internal and external service providers
  • Oversee accounts payable and payroll process
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through reviewing current processes for automation, consolidation, or reengineering
  • Manage annual internal and external audit, monthly cash flow, and inter-entity activity

Requirements
  • Solid experience in accounting, SOX compliance, reporting, and customer service in luxury resorts
  • Experience with time share operations
  • Familiarity with Oracle and ERP systems
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • MBA and/or CPA desired
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required
  • Analytical, organised, technical, and detail-oriented
