About the RoleWe are currently looking to add a talented Senior Software Engineer to our growing team. As a remote-based role in Mexico/South America, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality code as a member of an Agile development team for multiple solutions. You will work closely with Architects, Director of Engineering, Tech Lead, and other Software engineers to implement the architectural vision following best practices, create maintainable and well-written code, mentor and grow junior team members, participate in team Agile ceremonies, and provide clear communication.
Responsibilities- Engineer software solutions in Angular and other relevant languages following industry best practices, architectural vision, and team standards to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Convert graphic designs to well-structured, scalable, and maintainable HTML/CSS code.
- Review UI/UX requirements to ensure the best possible user experience.
- Participate in functional specification reviews; identify potential defects prior to development.
- Produce and maintain documentation for solutions delivered.
- Participate in all Agile ceremonies and contribute to improvements of processes, standards, and deliverables.
- Provide accurate estimates for completing a variety of development efforts both individually and within team estimating/scoring of user stories.
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with all levels of recipients.
- 3+ years of experience with Angular (not AngularJS).
- 3+ years of experience with HTML/CSS, with specific experience in converting design images to well-structured code.
- 3+ years of experience creating prototypes in tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
- Nice to have (but not required): 2+ years of experience with.NET, C# (Recent emphasis on.NET Core).
- 2+ years of experience with multiple databases of various storage types with emphasis on MySQL.
- Experience with API interaction.
- Experience with object-oriented design and programming.
- Extensive experience with Git.
- Experience with Agile.
- Strong interest in staying current with industry trends in technology.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under limited to no supervision, both independently and within a team environment.
- BA/BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar relevant field preferred.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry through direct or indirect work experience is preferred.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $50,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a remote work environment, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home or location of your choice. Please note that this is a remote job, and no office is provided for working. You will be required to work from your home or location of your choice, and be available for collaboration with US-based developers and QA analysts between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM Eastern Time (USA) daily. You will also be required to participate in Sprint Retro and Planning meetings between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM Eastern Time (USA) once per sprint.
