Courier Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Courier Driver to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages and documents, while representing the company in a professional manner.

• Operate non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all governmental and Corporate procedures.
• Accomplish accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and miss-sorts.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering customer questions on FedEx features of service and keeping customers informed about the company and its services.
• Determine legality of packages, including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments, and separate packages by service type and destination in accordance with established procedures.
• Scan packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrate proficiency in features of service and equipment.
• Ensure customers have adequate supply of FedEx materials for shipping.
• Load and unload aircraft, containers, and company vehicles, and operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages.
• Clean, wash, and perform minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary, and maintain a neat and clean personal appearance to uphold the company's public image.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic English skills preferred.
• One (1) year of experience driving 3.5 ton trucks.
• Must possess appropriate license for vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations.
• Good driving record.
• Must be 21 years old or older.

• Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32kgs) and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs. (68kgs) with appropriate equipment.
• Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player.
• Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test.
