Mechanic (General)

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic (General) to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical systems, equipment, and facilities.

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and identify and report any potential issues or safety hazards.
• Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Operate and maintain shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and any issues that arise to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
• Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance of interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
• Driver's license required.
