  • As a key member of the project team, you'll lead the sourcing process from concept development to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.
  • You will participate in project meetings and activities, including project kickoffs, sourcing plans, technical steering committees, and project management committees, and support project awards for your site.
  • Support the project manager in preparing the sourcing plan to define mutual commitments and conditions for proceeding with pre-sourcing, sourcing, and serial production at required quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) standards.
  • You will identify critical parts based on CLEAN definitions, review contingency plans with related project teams, and request PM arbitration when necessary.
  • Involving segment leaders and group segment directors in strategic planning to share project constraints and propose sourcing strategies aligned with Group Segment Strategy.
  • Select suppliers from compliant segment panels, liaise with project and segment organizations to identify bundle opportunities, and assess pre-selected suppliers' risk impacts on the project.
  • You will propose mitigation plans with the project team and commodity organization, ensuring they are properly recorded in PuMa pre-sourcing and sourcing pages.
  • Propose lotting and RFP tactics, anticipate auction use, and coordinate S-VRF definition and plans for supplier design reviews to ensure full understanding, capture improvement proposals, obtain supplier acceptance of Valeo requirements, and enhance competition at equivalent scope.
  • Install competition between suppliers to bring at least two suppliers to the same technical level and negotiate successfully through RFQ and/or auction processes.
  • You will perform RFQ processes via PuMa and Auction (Live or Online).
  • Leverage commodity organization expertise to make pre-sourcing, sourcing decisions, and meet project targets.
  • Ensure timely sign-off with segments for all supplier contracts related to the project, from development contracts to mass production.
  • For global platforms assembled in multiple plants, coordinate with PG/PL PPD, platform lead buyers, and other project buyers to ensure project compliance with commodity strategy, localization needs, global leverage, and supply base securitization from SOP.
  • You will manage achievement of all project milestones related to suppliers and track progress of PQA stages.
  • Define and control communication flows and contents between project teams and suppliers, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly stored in PuMa.
  • Maintain optimal usage of PuMa features and promote its adoption among the project team.
  • Pilot and forecast the project purchasing index and lead productivity action plans to reach CAA targets.
  • Ensure proper transfer to Serial Production, including remaining productivity actions.
  • For advanced purchasing (P3/P2):
    • Propose and validate with commodity organization pre-sourcing target suppliers.
    • Manage contractual aspects to protect Valeo intellectual property and segment panel.
