Position Overview
The Facility Operations Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and functionality of industrial equipment and machinery. This role involves performing routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting machinery issues to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily job orders to prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Conduct necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with company standards.
- Submit requisitions for tools, equipment, parts, and supplies essential for maintaining equipment operations.
- Oversee maintenance personnel and handle human resource duties, including hiring, training, and promotions.
- Create periodic reports, manage work schedules, process employee payroll, and assist in budget planning.
- Inspect facilities to identify maintenance issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical faults, and other structural concerns.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including regular inspections and repairs of systems such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper maintenance of safety equipment.
- Support engineering teams in the installation of new equipment and production lines.
- Participate in FM Global Annual Audits and construction projects.
- Develop and coordinate environmental compliance, including municipal, state, and federal permits.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility maintenance, including plumbing and electrical work.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate maintenance schedules and vendor activities.
- Willingness to undergo training as required.
