**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Carrier. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions in a cloud environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement software into production engineering product changes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Define and own a process for current state for AHU programming, ensuring a process maturity of 4.0 within the first year through continuous improvement in engineering practices.
- Provide guidance, analyze, and execute existing code to catch up on current software and systems.
- Work with software and systems architects to implement software into production engineering product changes.
- Lead the design and implementation of software solutions in a cloud environment as part of future process state.
- Be a technology champion and effectively use new technologies to build cutting-edge software products.
- Document and maintain code over time.
- Utilize Agile methodologies for product changes.
- Mentor junior team members and dedicate a high percentage of the day-to-day activities to develop process partners in order to create expertise within the local AHU team.
- Fast response and troubleshoot/diagnose production issues.
- Ensure strong commitment to meeting deliverables with a quality product.
- Mentor and provide technical support as an internal consultant in the trial-manufacture of new products, software, follow up, and resolve software issues.
- Manage production releases.
**Requirements**:
- BA/BS degree in Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience with parametric design and customized products.
- Accretive communication with key members of the organization.
- Ability to go above and beyond basic requirements to support their own team and others.
- Demonstrate a strong leadership by generating a positive influence with other team members.
