Role Overview

As a Production Supervisor, you will take charge of leading a skilled production team. Collaborating with fellow supervisors, your focus will be on fulfilling our commitments and meeting customer expectations. You will facilitate production-related activities across departments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products while minimizing process downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Emphasize Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, and Leadership.
  • Drive production outcomes by clearly communicating job expectations, planning and assigning personnel, evaluating job results, and providing coaching and accountability.
  • Act as a collaborative team player, engaging with cross-functional areas including EHS, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, and Engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: 80% of credits completed or in progress, alongside a High School diploma.
  • Proficiency in reading and communicating in English is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing production setting with demonstrated leadership capabilities is strongly preferred.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with team members and manage operations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing procedures and techniques.
  • Demonstrated administrative, customer service, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of and experience with LEAN methodologies.
  • Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a demanding environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on task prioritization.
  • Demonstrate pride in work, reliability, and a passion for the role.
  • Availability to work from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals and schedules.
  • Understand, adhere to, and enforce all established EHS, quality, and company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safety-oriented culture within the operations team by executing EHS dialogues, observations, training, and timely resolution of concerns.
  • Complete all EHS-related audits and assessments punctually.
  • Ensure product compliance by validating documentation.
  • Oversee traceability and identification of materials throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) for any production issues and ensure resolution prior to shipment.
  • Manage labor reporting and oversee a unionized manufacturing team.
  • Facilitate employee training and maintain training records.
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead root-cause investigations as necessary.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular standing, walking, talking, and hearing. Occasional sitting may be necessary, along with participation in meetings and training sessions.

Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection, must be worn throughout the shift. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures and conditions typical of manufacturing environments.
