About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying electrical products to meet customer requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and improving product performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new low-voltage electrical products to meet customer specifications.
- Participate in the introduction of new product designs into production, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
- Evaluate existing product lines and identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.
- Interface with customers to define application requirements and identify product design opportunities.
- Design, develop, and modify standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet project requirements.
- Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
- Determine root cause analysis and testing activities to successfully meet project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Gather and manage customer requirements for new products, coordinate activities across R&D functions, and lead technical concept development activities.
- Develop alternative design and architecture options, perform root cause analysis, and testing activities to meet customer and project requirements.
- Provide technical support to external and internal customers, including technical marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams.
- Act as a core team member within cross-functional and global teams in NPD projects.
- Work in accordance with automotive standards and methods, including IATF, A-SPICE, APQP, and FMEA.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Product Design Engineer with a strong background in electronics engineering. Your expertise should include:
University degree in Engineering (preferably in Electronics Engineering).Two to five years of experience in product design and development.Knowledge of engineering practices, including design for manufacturability and testability.Experience working with global manufacturing companies is preferred.Advanced knowledge of MS Office and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.Ability to learn and apply new concepts, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.Knowledge of automotive methods, including DoE, Six-Sigma, LEAN, and Agile, is a plus.What We Offer
