Your expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and eliminating waste in our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Lead supplier development projects for strategic suppliers, improving supplier performance and reducing PPM through the use of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management tools.
- Support strategic procurement projects and initiatives, evaluating and selecting suppliers based on safety, quality, delivery, and cost criteria.
- Conduct on-site quality system and manufacturing product and process audits, and participate in the Strategic Procurement Project Management Process.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, and train suppliers on supplier quality-related procedures.
- Assist in leading supplier business reviews, presenting relevant supplier performance metrics, and identifying and managing supplier performance action items.
- Technical degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in supplier improvement efforts, with demonstrated analytical, communication, project management, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of various quality system methodologies, including 8D, MSA, FAI, Control Plan, AQL, APQP, Lean, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, FMEA, PPAP, etc.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications, and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and Minitab.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
