About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Hermosillo. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing control systems for mineral processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop control systems for mineral processing facilities
- Prepare and create common deliverables including loop drawings, communications network diagrams, instrument location plans, termination drawings, plant control system layout drawings, cable tray and conduit routing diagrams, and panel layouts
- Develop models, design and drafting using advanced modeling and assembly practices within a 3D solid modeling CAD (SmartPlant) I&C environment
- Work under the direction of Electrical Engineers to develop working drawings from conceptual layout to detailed construction document packages for submission
- Use thorough knowledge of electrical codes and standards in everyday design work
- Coordinate work with other discipline engineers and designers
- Perform defined assignments with independent judgment and a high degree of accuracy while maintaining the consistency of drawings with other departments
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Educational background in Electrical Drafting and Design or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, NEMA and API standards
- Advanced skills in 3D Design (Smart Plant 3D preferred), SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation preferred)
- Technical competence and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)
- Client-facing experience
