Role Responsibilities:
This position is accountable for achieving effective and economical production outcomes that align with order requirements, specifications, quality standards, and planning objectives. This is accomplished through the strategic coordination and oversight of plant machinery, workforce, and production workflows (including quantity, quality, budget adherence, and optimal productivity levels).
Key Qualifications for Success:
Ensure adherence to Group health, safety, and environmental policies, while tracking and reporting on progress and outcomes. Identify risks and safety concerns, implementing strategies to safeguard personnel and equipment. Formulate and execute strategies to minimize non-value-added expenses, enhance revenue, and satisfy customers by delivering products punctually with high production and supplier efficiency, while reducing product failure rates in the field. Guarantee the integration of the 4Q Program (Hitachi Energy's standard process improvement methodology) training and practices within the organization. Supervise the development of manufacturing subcontracts and collaborate with other disciplines, including Supply Chain Management, to manage subcontractors effectively. Provide assistance to Sales during client visits to showcase manufacturing capabilities. Collaborate with HR to ensure the area of responsibility is well-organized, adequately staffed, and effectively directed. Inspire, guide, and develop both direct and indirect reports in alignment with HR policies. Prepare the annual production budget, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed to manage operations within budgetary constraints. Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while supporting colleagues and the organization.Basic Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations management preferred. Candidates must possess work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States. An MBA or relevant master's degree is preferred, along with experience in SAP, electrical product manufacturing, process engineering, or quality management. Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation. Six Sigma training and certifications are advantageous. Familiarity with essential health and safety regulations. Ability to convey complex ideas through presentations to senior management. Experience in change management. Proven track record in team development. Note:
