Core Java: Primary Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at Epik Solutions. As a key member of our Fixed Income Trading platform development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance trading systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-availability, scalable, and reusable trading systems
  • Work closely with our Fixed Income front office team lead to promote framework reusability across all business areas
  • Champion best practice software development life cycle with emphasis on test-driven coding methodology
  • Balance time-to-market with proper governance, compliance, and audit mandates
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth and development of our team

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in Java development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong design, coding, testing, and debugging skills
  • Experience with front-office trading systems, with a focus on E-Trading
  • Proficiency in Java (10+ years), with experience in multithreaded programming
  • Knowledge of Client Markets, MarketAxess, Bloomberg, and TradeWeb
  • Knowledge of Credit Buy-Side/Sell-Side market structure and FIX protocol
  • Experience with ION or Broadway API and KDB/Q a plus
