About the Role

Mercer is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our squad, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient data project delivery, identifying and eliminating blockers, and fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run data project delivery for your squad, ensuring seamless processes from requirements to production.
  • Identify and work to eliminate blockers, ensuring the squad is motivated and efficient.
  • Be responsible for ensuring your squad is collaborative, efficient, and empowered.
  • Deliver end-to-end working data deliverables for 1 or more products or solutions into production.
  • Have an enterprise mindset, fostering collaboration and breaking down silos.
  • Be recognized as an Agile Expert, familiar with Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in creating highly performing teams and take a hands-on approach where required.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, DMBOK, Architecture, Test Engineering, and Security best practices in an Agile environment.
  • Support the full lifecycle of a data product, considering tech debt, obsolescence, security, and modernization.
  • Ensure Agile governance and ceremonies are in place and effective.
  • Plan product releases and ensure standard metrics are visible and actively used to drive decision-making.
  • Own the Continuous Improvement backlog for your squad, delivering improvements for time to market, efficiency, and quality.
  • Provide coaching and support to your squad, fostering a culture of ownership and respect.
Requirements
  • Experience and track record of successful delivery in a regulated, complex, multi-product technological landscape.
  • Broad technical understanding to support Agile credentials from data layer architecture through test, DevOps practices, security, and operational run.
  • Metrics-driven approach to delivery evaluation and drive out systems and processes that help define and report on important metrics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, influencing and coaching senior executives.
  • Experience working with and motivating distributed teams.
  • Collaborative, inquisitive, and interested in technology and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level).
  • Rounded and holistic understanding of Agile Methodologies, such as CSP, KMP, and ICP-ACC Certifications.
  • 3-5 years' experience delivering technology projects to working software and/or data deliverables.
  • Experience in a wide range of Technology project delivery roles, ideally with some form of data engineering, data visualization, or testing background.
