About the Role

A HR Analyst performs a variety of clerical, coordination, and administrative activities specific to the human resources function. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating, administering, and delivering employee relations, staffing, and organizational development services to assigned functional areas, sites, business units, or geographical territories.
  • Managing data input, transactional duties, word processing, report development, and tracking of data.
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of personnel-related documents, maintaining confidential files and records, and preparing periodic standardized reports.
  • Providing general information and answering inquiries in all areas of human resources.
  • Completing special assignments and projects as required.
  • Processing various applications, employment, enrollment, pay change, informational, and other confidential forms and records.
  • Maintaining and distributing current employee information, policy, and procedure manuals, and other communications.
  • Conducting and summarizing internal and external surveys to gather information for policy development and planning.
  • Performing higher-level duties involving employee communications, such as pre-employment screening, responding to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures, identifying potential issues and grievances, etc.

Payroll Focus

  • Reviewing and processing additions and changes to the computerized payroll system (salary, benefits, tax withholdings, etc.).
  • Assisting with governmental reporting and compliance.
  • Coordinating and processing irregular payments (sales draws, bonus payments, etc.).
  • Reviewing and recording new hires, pay rates, and changes affecting net wages (exemptions, insurance coverage, direct deposits, etc.) in the computer file.

HRIS Transactional Focus

  • Working closely with Field HR and BU Management to provide transactional support associated with all employee life cycle-related activities.
  • Managing all HRMS data transactions and data input.
  • Reviewing and recording new hires, pay rates, and changes affecting net wages (exemptions, insurance coverage, direct deposits, etc.) in the computer file.
  • Researching the root cause of issues and assisting with resolution efforts.
  • Providing Management Reporting for all HR-related Systems.
  • Handling all SOX testing and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Driving continuous improvement, standardization, and simplification of HR transactional processes associated with the Employee Life Cycle.
  • Working closely with the Corporate HRIS Team to make recommendations, gather requirements, and test future enhancements and improvements of the HR Systems.
  • Ensuring adherence to policy and process guidelines that drive standardization and simplification.
  • HRIS supports many HRIS systems that support the HR organization, such as HRMS (PeopleSoft), Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Benefits, and Compensation Management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years prior administrative assistant or HR Assistant related experience preferred.
  • Good word processing, data entry, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable on the assigned area.
  • Accurate typing, spelling, and grammar skills required.
  • Broad understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Skilled in multitasking, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Good customer service, verbal, and writing skills.
  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and function-specific software.
