Main Responsibilities


The Senior Supply Chain Scheduler is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of direct materials to our manufacturing facilities. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with our suppliers, negotiating prices and delivery terms, and analyzing demand to optimize inventory levels.



Key Responsibilities



  • Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks timely to avoid stock-outs and minimize inventory levels.
  • Place Purchase Orders (POs) on time to suppliers and feeder plants to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Get confirmation dates or estimated time of arrivals (ETA) for all POs to manage expectations and avoid delays.
  • Assure the correct receipt in our ERP system (SAP) to maintain accurate inventory levels and prevent discrepancies.
  • Attend Daily Production Meetings to stay informed of production schedules and material requirements.
  • Execute in a regular basis, the exception messages to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Align with suppliers requested date in POs to avoid impacts in Production and ensure timely delivery.
  • Send reports to supplier to review status of open lines and avoid past due of purchase orders.
  • Communicate any risk related to purchased items and shortages to Planning and Production area to ensure timely mitigation.
  • Escalar issues with Global Procurement or Regional Materials through the correct channels (JIRA process) to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Analyze line of balances (LOB) when vendors have issues to identify and address any bottlenecks.
  • Analyze monthly forecast and send it to suppliers to ensure accurate demand planning.
  • Assure that problems relating to delivery, pricing and invoicing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Monitor vendor performance & on time delivery for Suppliers to ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Support other areas to assure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve vendor development and deliveries.
  • Implement project related to reduce level of inventory, excess & obsolete items to optimize inventory levels.
  • Review daily arrivals of raw materials at Customs Broker Warehouse and request them to Logistics area to ensure timely receipt.
  • Resolve discrepancy problems in a timely manner and collaborate with Warehouse and Logistics team to solve them.
  • Respond Invoices assigned in Maple (AP discrepancies) to ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Comply with activities of Johnson Controls Manufacturing Systems to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Safety committees and Safety Audits as required to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in Risk Assessments and ISO Audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Participate in EHS observations program to identify and address any environmental, health, or safety issues.
  • Implement and maintain security policy, JCI behaviors and health and environment rules to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
  • Participate in Training programs and comply with JCI internal trainings to stay up-to-date with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and review procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree or 3 years' experience in purchasing/planning role to ensure the necessary knowledge and skills for this position.
  • Direct buyer experience in a manufacturing company (metal-mechanic, refrigeration, electronic or HVAC industry) to ensure familiarity with the industry and its challenges.
  • Experience working with Purchasing, Planning and Production areas to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Fluent English to ensure effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • M RP (materials requirement planning) knowledge to ensure accurate demand planning and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of SAP (preferably) to ensure effective use of our ERP system.
  • Experience in a manufacturing planning program and production sequences to ensure effective planning and execution.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and guide team members.
  • Proactive to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Schedule availability to ensure timely response to urgent matters.
  • Team work to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Service attitude to provide excellent customer service to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong decision-making Communication, analytical and negotiation skills to ensure effective collaboration and communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
