Key Responsibilities- Support the sourcing of components, assemblies, and tooling for New Product Development/Cost Reduction/Supply Improvement projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Leaders, Engineers, Finance, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to deliver NPD projects.
- Prepare and execute RFP/RFQ's and analyze quotations to negotiate best overall cost and commercial terms.
- Communicate opportunities for cost reduction with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Support the development, review, and approval of supplier selection criteria using standardized processes/tools.
- Provide ongoing vendor management support, including forecasts, purchase orders, invoices, and quality problem resolution.
- Analyze and monitor supplier capacity, global/regional demand, and vendor quality on initial production start-up.
- Initiate necessary correspondence or personal contact to expedite purchased goods, revise purchase orders, and resolve other related problems.
- Escalate issues/risk and propose mitigation plans.
- Develop and implement purchasing best practices to support New Product Development Purchasing functional area.
- Mentor and coach new members of the Advanced Sourcing Team.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
- 4+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong negotiating skills and proven success negotiating, implementing, and managing complex supply contracts.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage projects/programs.
- International sourcing/supply chain experience a plus.
- Travel required up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- ISM and/or APICS certification.
- Fluency in English.
