Job Summary
The Role
Technical Underwriting
- To assist the underwriter in the renewal process for policy/account renewals, ensuring seamless policy management and customer satisfaction.
- Review and forward with Verita all new and renewal business submissions from brokers, verifying that all required information is provided; in case of missing information, contact the Broker via email or phone call to resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist the underwriter in pricing the risk, rating the policy premium, and preparing the quote and binder, ensuring accurate and timely policy issuance.
- To review the policy for accuracy in comparison with the binder, send the reviewed policy to broker within the required time frame; also coordinate with Veritas in case of query or rectification of policy, maintaining high-quality policy documentation.
- Assist WTW NA Centers National Accounting Center (NAC) on any questions or problems in connection with premium payment plans/installment plans, ensuring smooth financial transactions.
General/Product Support
Administrative Support
- To assist the Verita Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Legal in typing/proofing policy forms, endorsements, and other documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
The Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or insurance.
- Experience with commercial insurance or property and casualty insurance underwriting, with a strong understanding of insurance principles and practices.
- Experience working with Carriers, Insurers, Brokers, and Underwriters, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to review and analyze complex data.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Data interpretation, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Proficient in MS Office, with experience in using software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in insurance broking is a must, with a strong understanding of insurance products and services.
- Preferred CISR, AICPCU, or CII certified, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
