Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Vertiv. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, optimizing manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and programs to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and associates on process improvements and changes that impact production volumes, quality, safety, or deliveries.
  • Oversee the transition of products from internal and external sources to our manufacturing plant, including buy vs. make decisions and job move programs.
  • Document products through the use of Bills of Materials, Routers, Value Stream Maps, Flow Charts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Predicated, Preventative, and Reactive maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure high Overall Cycle Efficiency (OCE).
  • Utilize software for documentation and drawing of products, such as Auto-Cad, PRO-E, or others as required.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of the success of training programs and ensure training objectives are met.
  • Implement appropriation requests for machines, software, or tooling through written documentation with supporting information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of high-level experience in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Ability to work in a large, global corporate structure.
  • Self-starter with the ability to solve problems, take responsibility, and deliver results with a spirit of innovation and strong commitment to excellence.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required (read, write, and speak).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Software – advanced PowerPoint skills required.
  • Desirable experience using MRP or Enterprise systems in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • Experience in drafting tools such as PRO-E, Auto-Cad, or others.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics is a plus.
  • Six Sigma or other SPC quality tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrating ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
