Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Legal Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support to our business operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
2. Compliance and Risk Management: Stay updated on laws and regulations, develop, and implement compliance policies to ensure adherence and mitigate legal risks.
3. Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes and litigation, providing guidance on resolution strategies.
4. Corporate Governance: Maintain corporate governance standards, assist with board meetings, and filings.
5. Intellectual Property Protection: Advise on trademarks, copyrights, patents, and implement protection strategies.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
7. Corporate Transactions: Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructuring.
8. Employee Relations: Offer guidance on employment law matters, addressing hiring, termination, and litigation.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Corporate Legal Specialist, preferably in corporate law, is required. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in corporate, contract, employment, and intellectual property law, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Location and Hours/Schedule
This is an onsite work setup, and the successful candidate will be required to work from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (Mondays-Fridays).
