Position Overview

The primary focus of this role is to enhance value in the procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) products and services, while adhering to established indirect purchasing protocols. The goal is to achieve an optimal balance between cost-effectiveness and quality for Carrier Mexico, ensuring seamless operations through the strategic utilization of digital tools, streamlined processes, and robust supplier partnerships. This approach will yield measurable savings and fulfill our customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis and classification of expenditures within the designated MRO category.
  • Draft Statements of Work (SOW), Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), and Comparative Analysis Matrices for both local and international initiatives.
  • Execute tenders utilizing the 7-step Strategic Sourcing framework.
  • Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Develop productivity enhancement strategies, including Profit & Loss analysis, cost avoidance, supplier rationalization, and expense consolidation, based on category analysis.
  • Implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices and conduct Supplier Evaluations through Score Cards and 360-degree assessments.
  • Collaborate on global productivity initiatives with cross-functional and multi-regional teams.
  • Oversee adherence to regional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage contracts and establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to evaluate supplier performance.
  • Lead project management efforts following PMO methodologies.
  • Foster internal and external networking in alignment with the culture, values, and principles of The Carrier Way.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in economic-administrative fields or engineering disciplines.
  • Master's degree and/or APICS Certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of senior-level experience in Indirect Purchasing.
  • Proficient in English at an advanced level.
  • Experience in managing teams and executing global projects.
  • Familiarity with SAP, AS400, Ariba, CUOPA WAVE, or other ERP bidding platforms.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (including Power BI).
  • Proficient in PowerPoint.
  • Expertise in strategic negotiations.
  • Ability to manage Big Data and analyze complex information.
  • PMO certification is a plus.
