Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Development Team to integrate automated unit tests into existing codebases, prioritizing risk-adjusted approaches.
- Integrate productivity and security tools into pipelines, ensuring seamless workflows.
- Design and implement reference architectures for deployment patterns, promoting scalability and efficiency.
- Document workflows and supporting diagrams for deployments, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Work with architects to establish best practices for code management, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, providing timely and precise updates.
- Advocate for DevOps values and principles within GP IT, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Present technical solutions for consideration to Development teams, driving informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to engineer and automate repetitive processes, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
- Experience working with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and services.
- Experience working with orchestrating containers using ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or similar tools.
- Extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, with a focus on Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working on Agile Scrum teams, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
- Experience writing automated unit tests, ensuring code quality and reliability.
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, and shell scripting, with a focus on automation and tooling.
