About the Role:

F. Hoffmann-La Roche Gruppe is seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in facilitating and developing relationships with the medical/scientific community, including physicians and medical centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate product-related information to investigators and institutions, providing insights on research developments and new concepts in medical treatment.
  • Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts in the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Support clinical development initiatives, collaborating with physicians on medical affairs initiatives, including publications, advisory boards, medical education opportunities, training, and speaker development.
  • Serve as a scientific peer-to-peer resource to external disease experts and internal partners, providing up-to-date medical information, robust disease expertise, and product information.
  • Communicate clinical insights on new data to the company Medical Affairs to inform medical strategy for the affiliate.
  • Train internal partners on key scientific and medical topics in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Develop an understanding of the regional landscape, including specialties involved in patient care.
  • Maintain effective and appropriate communication among internal partners while maintaining full compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Generate tactical plans to provide needs-based, improved support of the medical and scientific community in-line with company goals.
  • Use systems to strategically map, identify, profile, and prioritize thought leaders in line with the medical plan and goals.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of MSL activities.
  • Establish and maintain network connections to increase potential and prioritize patient impact.
  • Integrate insights and data from the healthcare ecosystem strategically to prioritize activities to achieve the highest patient impact.
  • Continuously learn and grow through open and productive feedback while delivering on executional excellence and upholding compliance, ethics, and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Hold a university degree in a science-based program and/or proven experience in life sciences or healthcare system sector.
  • Have an understanding of the pharma/IVD, healthcare system environment.
  • Be able to communicate with impact and empathy while focusing on building positive relationships and working across networks.
  • Have experience in principles and techniques of critical data analysis, interpretation, and assessment of clinical relevance for the purpose of understanding and communicating scientific concepts and study results.
  • Leading strategic projects in the public and/or private sector, as well as in the implementation of strategies in health programs.
  • Previous experience in the area of medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working in customer-facing roles in healthcare personnel (doctors, laboratory personnel, opinion leaders).
