We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Security Engineer to join our team at Paystand. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies for our CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate security tools and processes into the DevOps lifecycle, including static and dynamic analysis, vulnerability scanning, and configuration management.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Conduct security assessments, code reviews, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on secure coding and DevOps practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident responses.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of automated security testing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on security and reliability.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash or any server scripting language.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of security tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Snyk, or Nessus.
  • Strong knowledge in AWS and their security features and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform) are a plus.
