People Operations Specialist

Ogury is seeking a highly skilled People Operations Specialist to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our People Team, you will be responsible for driving HR excellence through operations, initiatives, and office management for our Mexico and Colombia offices.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the employee lifecycle, including benefits management, payroll, job changes, and more.
- Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and completion within our People Systems and Employee Records.
- Design and implement local and regional processes and policies, ensuring consistency across teams.
- Align with our Global People Operations Team on process improvements and contribute to operational excellence.
- Provide guidance on local legislation and navigate employment changes, systems updates, policy reviews, and process implementations.
- Manage local budgets, reviewing actual spend and proposing usage optimization, in partnership with local FP&A and People Teams.
- Oversee rental contracts, supplier contracts, and agreements related to the office, including cleaning, printers, supplies, maintenance, and vendor management.
- Enhance and facilitate the office culture by organizing in-office events, supporting collaborative initiatives, and providing a sense of belonging to our employees.
- Apply relevant frameworks to ensure employee safety and health in the workplace, adhering to local legislation.
- Prior experience in a People Operations role, with responsibility for the end-to-end employee lifecycle and office management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A project management approach, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, time management, cost, and expectations.
- A customer-service mentality and a willingness to help others, with a strong team-player attitude.
- A "can-do" attitude, with a willingness to learn new things and adapt to change.
- Prior experience working in either Mexico or Colombia.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and HRIS systems.
