Job Summary

The Test Engineer will assist in designing and developing equipment setups and test procedures for thermal systems. This role will perform complex assignments for major systems during testing, design and develop test procedures, and assist in the evaluation of test equipment required to perform quality checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the design engineering group to ensure test procedures and data meet expectations.
  • Create test plans for customer equipment demonstrations.
  • Review test progress and evaluate results.
  • Perform required presentations utilizing automated test equipment for customer visits.
  • Perform test validations and lab instrumentation calibrations.
  • Provide continuous support to engineering and support groups to deliver high-quality test products.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in thermal systems testing.
  • Knowledge of Vertiv Thermal Management Products preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of psychrometrics, vapor compression refrigeration cycle, and their methods of test.
  • Knowledge of 3-Phase electrical circuits and networks, including Ethernet and serial coms.
  • Ability to configure data acquisition systems and use temperature and pressure measurement instruments.
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.
Education and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering with thermal / fluid sciences emphasis or equivalent degree.
