Culinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Technician (A) to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. This role will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of quality in the culinary department, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in good working order. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with mechanical and electrical systems, using blueprints and schematics to diagnose problems.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure that maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Marriott International, Inc. certification as a Culinary Technician (A).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

• Vocational or technical background in a related field.
• Experience with universal chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification.
• Strong knowledge of energy management systems and practices.
