Job Overview:
The Marine Corps Community Services is seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Director to lead the housekeeping operation of the Inns of the Corps Camp Foster, Marine Lodge - Westpac Inn, Navy BOQ, and the Distinguished Visitors Quarters at Plaza Housing Area.

Job Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage a multi-cultural housekeeping team responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the property, including public areas, back-of-house support areas, and storerooms.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently.
- Prepare and certify timecards for NAF, IHA, and contract labor employees.
- Schedule work assignments, appraise performance, counsel assigned personnel, and recommend personnel actions.
- Support and supervise effective inspections of all guestrooms and public spaces, verifying guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the Guest Service Manager and Facility Manager to accurately plan for peak periods and efficiently schedule staff to meet workload requirements and labor budget.
- Act as a Card Holder (CH) for non-appropriated fund purchase card, purchasing and maintaining inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies and control costs.
- Manage Lost and Found items, documenting and processing them correctly, responding to inquiries in a timely manner, and communicating with guests to arrange shipping and accurate billing.
- Provide World-Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy, assisting guests, and communicating positively in a friendly manner.
- Adhere to safety regulations and standards, promptly reporting workplace hazards, injuries, occupational illnesses, and property damage resulting from workplace mishaps.
Requirements:
- Must have knowledge of housekeeping in hotel operations.
- Ability to direct and manage a diverse team.
