Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC control, PC control, hydraulics, pneumatics, and servo-controlled motion.
- Develop system design software and integrate mechanical design, control systems, and system design software.
- Prepare detailed equipment electrical designs and provide training on equipment design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Support existing equipment designs and production issues, both locally and globally.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment technologies and utilize this knowledge to specify and develop innovative solutions.
- Utilize continuous improvement methodology to improve internal industrial processes.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in the automation industry or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with PLC programming, HMI systems, vision systems, motion controllers, and system design software.
- Familiarity with communication protocols, electronic circuit knowledge, and basic understanding of UL Standard, NFPA 79, and National Electric Code.
