The RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to oversee the total purchases and procurement segment of our supply chain. As the owner of the supply chain for inbound logistics, you'll be responsible for negotiating contracts and terms to secure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and quality products. Your primary mission will be to guarantee business continuity by creating and implementing supply strategies that meet compelling business needs in terms of Quality, Service, and Cost.
Responsibilities- Develop, lead, and implement procurement strategies for all company supplies (Direct and Indirect Expenditure).
- Accountable for supply chain improvements, including MOQ, WALT, TDC, Credit terms, etc., to deliver goals of Service, Savings, and inventory.
- Guarantee the adoption and compliance of the purchases policy and processes.
- Promote the best use of company resources through the correct implementation of a supplier development process and contracts management.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with the company's objectives, budget, and quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and quality products.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, product quality, innovations, and responsiveness.
- Continuously evaluate current supply chain and expenditure to identify opportunity areas.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and company policies related to purchasing activities.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, International Business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (+4 years) as a Purchasing Manager, preferably within the cosmetic, pharma, or food industry.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, including strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for purchasing activities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, perform cost analysis, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- APICS Certification
- Experience in planning or production areas.
- Materials and suppliers development knowledge.
