About the Role:

The Credit and Collections Analyst is a key member of the Cognex accounting team, responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customers with accurate and timely invoices, and upload them to various repositories and customer portals.
  • Implement and maintain compliance with tax authorities' invoicing requirements.
  • Proactively initiate collection activities, including sending follow-up inquiries and processing customer payments.
  • Collaborate with the Order Administration, Customer Master Data, and Sales Teams to establish new customers and set credit limits.
  • Prepare and send payment complements, and maintain accurate records of customer payments.
  • Assist in resolving outstanding invoice queries and disputes.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of aging accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Support the accounting team in reviewing expenses for approval and recording in accordance with company policies and Mexican tax law.
  • Prepare internal reports for the tax department and maintain open communication with other departments.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of computerized systems, including Billing (Facturacion version 4.0).
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers, senior management, employees, and external agencies.
  • Strong problem-solving and proactive attitude.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced accounting environment, including accounting, billing, credit and collection, accounts payable, or tax.
