**Mission Overview**

At Intel, we are constantly seeking skilled professionals to join our Data Center & Artificial Intelligence Group (DCAI). Our team is at the forefront of Intel's transformation into a leader in cloud, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing.

**Your Role**

As a Software Development Engineer within our DCAI team, your primary focus will be on developing and implementing software solutions that improve the scalability and reliability of our server platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software that meets the complex demands of our customers.

**Responsibilities**

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Extending and creating software for customer visibility into system states, including Intel Architecture cores, memory, peripherals, and busses.
  • Providing customers with strategies and solutions to solve in-field and at-scale challenges using the developed software.
  • Defining, designing, and developing Autonomous BMC Crashdump features, triaging CPU issues, and solving production debug issues for customers' server designs.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, with expertise in design patterns, object-oriented programming, development source control, service-oriented architecture, and software design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++, software debugging, and the ability to create new codes and review/debug within complex existing codebases.
  • Experience in software development and debug solutions for complex high-performance multi-core CPU or equivalent products.
  • Software development experience for Linux and Windows operating systems, with knowledge of software best practices like requirements gathering/writing and execution, agile, and unit regression testing.
  • Advanced English language skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in validation or enabling silicon to debug capabilities, Intel Xeon server systems architecture, scale and distributed systems, Git knowledge, CI/CD systems, bug/issue analysis, customer support, cloud engineering, code review, computer architecture knowledge, customer problem-solving, high-level software design, and open-source software technology will be given preference.
